One thing I've learned about living and working in the Hamptons is that if you want to start a spirited debate, don't ask about real estate, ask about pizza.
Recently, I posed a simple question to friends, clients, local business owners, and longtime East End residents: "Who has the best pizza from Montauk to Westhampton Beach?"
The responses came flooding in. Some people were fiercely loyal to neighborhood favorites they've been ordering from for decades. Others championed newer spots that have quickly developed cult followings. A few people insisted there could only be one winner. Needless to say, I got some very strong opinions.
While everyone had their own favorite, certain names came up again and again. So I mapped out the recommendations from east to west and created this guide to some of the most talked-about pizza spots on the East End.
